Australian amputee golfer Geoff Nicholas is widely regarded as one of the pioneers and most successful competitors in the history of disability golf. A PGA professional and member of The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, Nicholas has won 12 consecutive British Amputee Open Championships and 12 consecutive US Amputee Open Championships, establishing himself as one of the sport’s dominant international figures. He won the inaugural Australian Amputee Open in 2004 and has since claimed multiple national titles, including victories in 2024, 2025, and 2026. In recognition of his extraordinary contribution to the game, Nicholas became the first inductee into the Amputee Golf Australia Hall of Fame in 2024. His career also broke new ground when he qualified for the 2019 Senior Open Championship in England, becoming the first amputee golfer to compete in a major championship.
